An established industry player is seeking a Financial Manager to oversee financial management and reporting. This role involves handling full sets of accounts, ensuring compliance with corporate governance, and preparing insightful financial reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the manufacturing or construction industries, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. This position offers a dynamic work environment where you can leverage your analytical skills and professional qualifications to make a significant impact on the organization's financial health and strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management and Reporting
Handle full sets of accounts, including general ledger (GL), accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and inter-company reconciliations.
Ensure timely and accurate submissions for GST, corporate tax, and audit purposes.
Develop, monitor, and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
Supervise and mentor the Accounts Team, ensuring smooth daily operations, including transactions, billings, reimbursements, and cash flow management.
Liaise with auditors, tax agents, corporate secretaries, and bankers for all financial and accounting matters.
Oversee financing matters, including letters of credit, shipping guarantees, bills of lading, and T/T payments.
Maintain compliance with corporate governance, regulatory requirements, and accounting principles.
Identify and implement improvements in financial systems and processes.
Leverage tools like MYOB accounting and ERP software to enhance efficiency.
Ensure integration of technology in financial and operational workflows for better control and reporting.
Cross-Functional Contributions
Collaborate with management on cost control and resource allocation for manufacturing and construction projects.
Manage corporate reporting in a project-focused environment.
Provide insights into HR and office practices as needed.
Professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CA) are strongly preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or Construction industries.
Strong understanding of corporate governance, regulatory Compliance, and financial accounting standards.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., MYOB) and ERP systems;
Exceptional analytical and interpersonal skills, with a solution-oriented mindset.
Familiarity with HR practices and processes is a plus.
