Job description

Job Responsibilities

  1. Handle day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable/receivable.

  2. Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes i.e. ASN FRT and MIS, ensuring financial statements reflect accurate inventory data.

  3. Conduct regular inventory audits to verify the accuracy of inventory records and identify any discrepancies.

  4. Collaborate with the warehouse and operations teams to resolve inventory variances and implement corrective actions.

  5. Analyze inventory data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for improving inventory management practices.

  6. Develop and maintain audit trails and documentation for all inventory transactions.

  7. Ensure compliance with company policies related to inventory and financial reporting.

  8. Prepare and present detailed audit reports to senior management, highlighting findings and suggesting improvements.

  9. Monitor and report on key inventory metrics, including stock levels, turnover rates, and valuation accuracy.

  10. Work closely with the finance and operations teams to streamline inventory management processes.

  11. Identify opportunities for process enhancements and automation to improve efficiency and accuracy.

  12. Participate in the development and implementation of new inventory management systems and tools.

  13. Monitor and confirm inventory records to ensure the accuracy of the listed information.

  14. Work closely with accounts and internal audit Manager to prepare all tax and audit reports required.

Requirements

  1. Minimum Diploma in Accountancy/Finance/Banking or related field must have at least 3 years of inventory management experience preferably in the FMCG/wholesale industry.

  2. Ability to work collaboratively as a team in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  3. Strong understanding of international shipping, customs regulations, and import/export procedures.

  4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

  5. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Microsoft dynamics) and Microsoft Excel.

  6. High attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial and inventory records.

  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
