Job summary

TALENT TRADER GROUP PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a hands-on Finance Executive to support month-end closing, GL maintenance, and financial reporting.

You will prepare journal entries for accruals and prepayments, perform bank reconciliations, and ensure compliance with internal controls. The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Degree in Accounting, has hands-on accounting experience, and is proficient in Excel and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience in accounting/finance operations.
• Good knowledge of month-end closing, GL, journal entries and reconciliations.
• Experience in inventory or manufacturing accounting is advantageous.
• Exposure to audit, tax, J-SOX/internal controls or statutory reporting is beneficial.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end closing activities and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare journal entries for accruals, prepayments, reversals and other GL transactions.
• Perform monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items.
• Maintain tax schedules and prepare withholding tax (WHT) calculations and supporting documents.
• Perform General Ledger foreign currency revaluation and prepare relevant schedules.
• Support the preparation and updating of financial statement schedules and notes.
• Review employee expense claims and ad-hoc payment requests in accordance with company policies.
• Monitor inventory-related accounting matters, including GIT, stock disposal and variances.
• Support J-SOX/internal control compliance and prepare required documentation.
• Prepare and submit government surveys through relevant e-filing platforms.
• Support annual statutory audits by preparing audit schedules and providing supporting documents.
• Assist with financial data analysis for reporting, tax and business requirements.
• Participate in finance system implementation/enhancement projects, including UAT and process improvements.
• Support inventory stock takes and fixed asset verification exercises.
• Perform other finance and accounting duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Relevant hands-on experience in accounting / finance operations.
• Good knowledge of month-end closing, GL, journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Experience in inventory or manufacturing accounting will be an advantage.
• Exposure to audit, tax, J-SOX/internal controls or statutory reporting will be advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting/ERP systems.
• Detail-oriented with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.
