Accounts Executive

Working Day: Monday to Friday, 9:30 am - 6:30 pm (1 day WFH)

Working Location: Near Jurong East MRT)

Salary: $3.5k - $4k + VB

Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and results-oriented Senior Executive, Accounts to take charge of our full financial accounting functions. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity of our financial records, compliance with statutory requirements, and the delivery of accurate financial statements and reports that drive sound decision-making.

As part of our accounts team, you will manage day-to-day accounting operations, oversee statutory reporting, support tax and audit processes, and strengthen internal controls. Your expertise will ensure that the company’s financial health is robust and well-documented.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Strong foundation in financial accounting principles, Singapore accounting standards (SFRS), GST regulations, and statutory compliance.
  • Proven experience managing a full set of accounts independently, ideally within a mid-sized organization.
  • Experience in audit processes and working with external auditors.
  • Proficient in Xero accounting software, Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, with strong attention to detail in financial data.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate figures into clear financial insights.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and commitment to maintaining accurate financial records and reports.
  • Experience in the interior design or construction industry is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full set of accounts, including all general ledger entries, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.
  • Oversee daily financial accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow management.
  • Handle financial accounting and reporting for inter-company transactions and ensure accurate consolidation where required.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual financial statements in line with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
  • Ensure all financial transactions are properly documented, classified, and recorded to support compliance with statutory and regulatory.
  • Coordinate and prepare GST submissions, corporate tax computations, and filings, liaising closely with external tax agents.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to prepare audit schedules, address queries, and facilitate a smooth year-end audit process.
  • Maintain and continuously improve accounting policies, internal controls, and financial workflows to uphold compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and monitor budgets and forecasts, analyze variances, and provide regular reports on financial performance and position.
  • Take charge of ID (Interior Designer) sales, commissions, profit reporting, and other financial schedules, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Assist Management with preparing financial insights and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Handle vendor and partner accounting queries and any other ad hoc financial accounting duties assigned by Management.
