Job Description/ Key Responsibilities:

Project Accounting & Cost Tracking

• Maintain accurate records of project costs, including materials, labor, subcontractor payments, and overheads.

Monitor project budgets and report on cost variance

• Assist project managers in financial planning and budgeting.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

Process invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests.

Manage payments to vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers.

• Generate and follow up on client invoices and ensure timely collections.

Financial Reporting

• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.

Compliance & Documentation

Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial laws, and company policies.

• Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation and audit trails.

Coordination & Support

• Liaise with site engineers, project managers, and procurement teams to verify costs and support decision-making.

• Support the Finance Manager in preparing financial forecasts and budgets.

Requirement:

• Diploma holder in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the marine construction

• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero).

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and construction project costing.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of local marine industry

• Experience with project-based accounting systems.

• Familiarity with progress billing and retention accounting.
