Job summary

An international shipping company headquartered in Europe seeks an experienced accounting professional to handle invoicing, accounts reconciliation, and assist in monthly closings. Candidates should possess a relevant diploma or degree in accounting or finance and have 2-4 years of experience in logistics-related accounting. Proficiency in Excel and knowledge of D365 Finance module will be an added advantage.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in full-set or logistics-related accounting.
• Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable / Payable processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with D365 Finance module is advantageous.

Job description

Our client is an international shipping company that is headquartered in Europe. They manage one of the world's largest independent seaborne livestock fleet in accordance with international standards for animal transport.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post invoices, debit / credit notes, receipts, and execute vendor payments

• Handle AP / AR / GL entries and bank reconciliations

• Support monthly closing activities and account reconciliations across several legal entities

• Assist with the preparation of accruals and balance sheet classifications

• Support the international finance team in Europe with any ad hoc financial tasks and reporting needs

• Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities as necessary

• Coordinate with logistics team on cost tracking and billing queries

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, and / or any related fields

• At least 2 to 4 years of experience in full-set or logistics-related accounting

• Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable / Payable and general ledger processes is a plus

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and D365 Finance module will be an added advantage
