Job summary

An established industry player is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their dynamic team. This role involves managing account payables, processing payments, and ensuring timely reconciliation of creditor statements. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in accountancy and at least two years of relevant experience. You will support cash flow management and assist with various accounting tasks, all while contributing to a positive team environment. Qualifications

  • Prior working experience of 2 years is preferred.

Job description

Responsibilities

Invoices Processing and Payments
  • Manage Account Payables functions
  • Checking & posting of monthly transactions
  • Process & monitor payments to suppliers and other creditors
  • Preparation of payment vouchers and cheques / bank transfers/ GIRO for approval
  • Process staff expense claims on timely basis
  • Manages petty cash transactions
Month End Closing Procedures
  • Reconcile major creditor statements monthly, follow up and clear reconciling items on a timely basis
  • Handle queries from suppliers on outstanding invoices and payment
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Prepare monthly accounts schedule, AP Aging Reports and reconciliation
Other Functions
  • Handle any other related accounting and admin duties as assigned by supervisor or management from time to time
  • Support the accounting manager on cashflow management

Competency Requirements

  • Min Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent
  • Prior working experience of 2 years is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel skills and accounting software
  • Positive attitude and independent player
  • Highly motivated and having an eye for details
