What you’ll do

As an Accounts Receivable Executive, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of the organisation by managing all aspects of the accounts receivable cycle. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve ensuring accurate transaction recording, preparing essential documentation for customers, monitoring outstanding balances, analysing payment patterns for risk mitigation, reconciling ledgers meticulously, collaborating across departments to resolve discrepancies efficiently, handling key accounting entries, generating insightful reports for management review, participating in process improvement projects, and supporting critical period-end activities such as audits and regulatory reporting.

  • Oversee the complete accounts receivable process by ensuring all activities comply with established financial policies and procedures.
  • Accurately record all accounts receivable transactions in a timely manner to maintain up-to-date financial records.
  • Prepare and distribute reminders as well as statements of accounts to customers to facilitate prompt payments.
  • Monitor customer accounts closely and follow up diligently on overdue balances to support healthy cash flow.
  • Analyse aging receivables regularly, identify potential collection issues early, and assess customer payment trends to mitigate credit risks effectively.
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger consistently so that all incoming payments are properly accounted for and posted without discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with operations teams and other business divisions to resolve any inconsistencies in sales or supporting documents promptly.
  • Handle journal entries, reclassifications, and prepare comprehensive general ledger schedules as part of routine accounting duties.
  • Generate detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual reports outlining the status and activities related to accounts receivable functions.
  • Contribute actively to transformation initiatives and system improvement projects within the accounts receivable function while assisting with month-end closing processes, GST reporting, year-end audits, and other finance-related tasks as required.

Your background should include hands-on involvement with end-to-end accounts receivable processes-ranging from transaction recording through reconciliation-alongside exposure to reporting requirements at various intervals. Your analytical mindset enables you not only to spot trends but also suggest improvements where necessary. Familiarity with relevant software tools such as Microsoft Excel is essential; prior use of SAP would further strengthen your application. Above all else, your reliability under pressure and commitment to supporting others make you an invaluable addition to any finance team.

  • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail combined with strong analytical skills that enable you to proactively address potential issues before they arise.
  • Showcase your ability to work dependably both independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting while consistently meeting tight deadlines.
  • Possess excellent communication skills that allow you to interact efficiently with colleagues at all levels internally as well as with external partners or customers.
  • Display proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes; hands-on experience using SAP accounting software would be considered an added advantage.
  • Exhibit adaptability when taking on new tasks or supporting transformation projects aimed at improving systems or processes within the finance function.
  • Bring proven experience reconciling complex ledgers accurately while preparing clear documentation for audit or compliance purposes.
  • Illustrate your capability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously without compromising quality or accuracy of work delivered.
