Accounts Executive (AP)

Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely completion of AP month-end closing.
• Perform vendor verification and creation in SAP.
• Process payables transactions, including supplier invoices and employee reimbursements, in accordance with accounting principles and GST regulations, ensuring correct GL account allocation.
• Verify invoices for compliance with financial policies, circulate for departmental approval, and ensure proper documentation before payment.
• Prepare reconciliations for balance sheet schedules, vendors, and general ledger.
• Prepare month-end journal entries for payables accruals, prepayments, and amortizations.
• Assist in preparing GST reports for submission.
• Support year-end audits by preparing audit schedules.
• Provide business partnering support to divisions and suppliers regarding Accounts Payable queries.
• Perform ad-hoc finance duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Accountancy.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in an MNC and high-volume environment.
• Good knowledge of GST regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with computerized accounting systems; SAP experience is an advantage.
• Meticulous, organized, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
