Job description

Roles & Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of the role will include (but not limited to):

Client and relationship:

  • Act as a point of contact for clients on their day-to-day affairs, with supervision where necessary, and ensure all communication, whether written or spoken, is professional.
  • Maintain good relationships with clients.
  • Respond to and handle client queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Ensure that the manager is kept updated with any issues arising from the client or its activities.

Service provision:

  • Prepare financial data for entry into the accounting system.
  • Ensure all receipts are updated in the accounting system on a timely basis.
  • Handle banking of cheques into bank accounts promptly.
  • Manage accounts receivables and payables.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and audit schedules.
  • Prepare monthly payslips for payroll.
  • Handle account closing up to the monthly trial balance, income statement, and balance sheet.
  • Manage quarterly Goods and Services Tax filings.
  • Handle corporate secretarial documents and annual return filings.
  • Compile accounts or reports (preparation of unaudited reports).
  • Liaise with external auditors.
  • Handle corporate tax computations and tax return filings.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma/Degree in Accountancy/Finance.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Proactive and committed to meeting deadlines.
  • Pleasant personality and organized.
  • At least 2 years of professional firm experience is advantageous.
  • Experience in auditing or corporate income tax is an advantage.
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, SAGE is an advantage.

  • Salary: $3,000 - $4,000 per month
