Job Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payables, ensuring recording of purchases and claims with proper supporting documents and authorisation before processing payment.
- Reconciliation of vendor accounts and prompt investigation and rectification of variances.
- Prepare monthly financial schedules and reports as requested.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Reconcile accruals, prepayments, and other balance items.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end closing
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash flow records and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure that bank balances match with accounting records and investigate any inconsistencies or variances.
- Liaise with external auditor, tax agent, corporate secretary and bankers in relation to annual audit, quarterly GST submission, annual corporate tax and withholding tax submission, statutory filings and bank related matters.
Job Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in full set accounting, including AP/AR, bank reconciliation, and inventory management.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with a strong ability to identify discrepancies.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Advanced skills in computer software, including Excel, Power BI, and other accounting packages. Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.
- Proven experience in managing accounts payable.
- Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Motivated and taking initiatives in problem solving.
