JOB DESCRIPTION

Department: Management Accounting

Report to: Senior Account Executive

Functional Relationships with: All related departments in Murata

POSITION PROFILE:

Based in: Singapore

Job site: Yishun

The successful candidate will: This person is responsible for all areas relating to PL and supports all other operations as required within the department. Responsible for analysing and managing cost structure, preparing Budget, and forecast, performing variance analysis, maintaining accurate inventory records, and collaborating across departments to ensure financial efficiency.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Cost Analysis: Monitor and analyse the company’s cost structures to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.

• Annual Budgeting preparation and computation.

• Month-end closing and PL Reporting: Prepare regular cost reports and provide actionable insights to management.

• Inventory Management: Oversee and analyse inventory transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

• Coordinating with all departments to provide cost analysis and support financial planning.

• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving financial processes, including cost accounting, and reporting methods.

• Preparation of monthly and annual financial documents / Yearly Financial Audit

• Preparation of presentation material as required.

• Related duties assigned by the Management to support departmental and organizational objectives.

Ability / Competency Required:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or relevant certification preferred.

• Experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.

• Proficiency in cost accounting principles, budgeting, and variance analysis.

• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP and strong Excel skills are required.

• Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.

• Fluent in English and Mandarin languages are preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present financial information.

• Integrity & trustworthiness.

• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
