Responsibilities:
- Perform & maintain a full set of accounts.
- Handle daily accounting operations including AR, AP, GL, filing, data input, and arrange payment/remittance.
- Responsible for performing month-end closing.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation and reconcile inter-company transactions.
- Daily process & issue invoices for shipments.
- Coordinate and liaise with internal & external parties - auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and other government sectors, etc.
- Prepare and submit GST returns quarterly.
- Prepare and support expense claims as and when required.
- Maintain good filing for HR/Admin and company documents.
- Prepare management reports and monthly reporting as and when required.
- Assist in Admin, HR, or other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by Local or overseas Manager.
- Assist other departments as they develop strategies/objectives and make decisions that could have a financial impact on the business.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree holder in Accounting/Finance/Banking or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of working experience in the related field is an added advantage.
- Previous Freight Forwarding Experience would be an added advantage.
- Good attitude, communication & coordination skills.
- Able to take responsibility and be accountable.
- Well-organized and responsible with an aptitude for problem-solving.
- Able to perform multitasks in order to support and assist the department on a daily basis.
- Team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to fulfill time-critical tasks on time, keeping schedules and deadlines.
- Candidates who can start work immediately or on short notice will have an added advantage.
