Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Perform & maintain a full set of accounts.
  • Handle daily accounting operations including AR, AP, GL, filing, data input, and arrange payment/remittance.
  • Responsible for performing month-end closing.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliation and reconcile inter-company transactions.
  • Daily process & issue invoices for shipments.
  • Coordinate and liaise with internal & external parties - auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and other government sectors, etc.
  • Prepare and submit GST returns quarterly.
  • Prepare and support expense claims as and when required.
  • Maintain good filing for HR/Admin and company documents.
  • Prepare management reports and monthly reporting as and when required.
  • Assist in Admin, HR, or other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by Local or overseas Manager.
  • Assist other departments as they develop strategies/objectives and make decisions that could have a financial impact on the business.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree holder in Accounting/Finance/Banking or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of working experience in the related field is an added advantage.
  • Previous Freight Forwarding Experience would be an added advantage.
  • Good attitude, communication & coordination skills.
  • Able to take responsibility and be accountable.
  • Well-organized and responsible with an aptitude for problem-solving.
  • Able to perform multitasks in order to support and assist the department on a daily basis.
  • Team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to fulfill time-critical tasks on time, keeping schedules and deadlines.
  • Candidates who can start work immediately or on short notice will have an added advantage.
