Garrett Popcorn Shops is currently seeking an Accounts Executive with 2-3 years of experience to join the accounting team at the SEA corporate headquarters in Singapore. This role will report to the Accounts Manager - SEA.

Garrett Popcorn Shops is a global business with a focus on selling gourmet confections through brick-and-mortar locations, as well as through eCommerce and B2B channels. The position is responsible for key accounting duties for the Garrett Popcorn Shops’ businesses in Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.

The ideal candidate has some experience in public accounting, as well as in a small, fast-paced, growing company. Food and Beverage retail experience would be a plus. This person will drive value to the business by delivering timely month-end reporting and improving key accounting processes. A curious and collaborative individual will succeed on our SEA Accounting team. The world of a growing private business must be exciting to this individual.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manages the sales reconciliation process to ensure all transactions from the Company’s retail and e-commerce locations are properly recorded.
• Booking of supplier invoices into ERP system and preparing payment schedule for payment arrangement.
• Participates in month-end close procedures, including prepaid expenses, accruals, and reconciliations to assure accurate and timely completion.
• Assist with tasks required for annual financial audit and annual tax returns.
• Initiate, develop, and implement process improvements.
• Support other projects and analyses as needed.

Key Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Self-directed; able to work independently.
• Attentive to detail; skilled at accurate data entry.
• Effective communicator; proficiency in English required.
• Intermediate Excel skills.
• NetSuite ERP knowledge a plus.
