Job summary

A local management services company in Singapore is seeking an experienced accountant to handle bookkeeping for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger. Responsibilities include preparing management accounts, filing GST returns, and managing client accounts. Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Fluency in Chinese is required to communicate with clients.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word & Excel).
  • Able to read, speak and write Chinese for communication with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Perform bookkeeping transactions for AP, AR, and GL.
  • Prepare management accounts and director statements for year-end filing.
  • File quarterly GST returns and handle tax computations.
  • Perform invoicing and set up internet banking payments.
  • Prepare payroll reports and file statutory documents.

Job description

Perform bookkeeping transactions for Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL);

Handle partial or full sets of clients’ accounts.
Preparing management accounts and director statements for year-end filing.
Prepare and file quarterly GST returns.
Tax computations and file Estimated Chargeable Income (ECI) and Form C/CS for company income tax.
Prepare of IR21, IR8A, GST registration, and GST cancellation documents.
Other statutory filings, e.g., ACRA.
Perform invoicing within the accounting system.
Set up payments via internet banking.
Prepare payroll reports.
Physically file and e-file documents.
Perform any other duties as required.

Requirements:

At least 3 years of relevant working experience.
Required Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word & Excel).
Strong sense of responsibility, maturity, self-initiative, proactivity, attention to detail, good interpersonal skills, meticulousness, and ability to work independently.
Able to read, speak and write Chinese, to communicate with Chinese speaking clients.
