Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking an Accounting Specialist to manage full set accounts and project cost tracking. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting and 3-5 years of relevant experience. This role involves liaising with auditors and ensuring compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential. A 'can-do' attitude is required, and proficiency in MYOB and ERP systems is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Min 3-5 years of relevant work experience in accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and tax rules.
  • Experience with project accounting and external audits preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare full set of accounts and management reports accurately.
  • Handle billing processing and intercompany transactions.
  • Manage cash flow and liaise with external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare the project's full set of accounts, monthly management accounts and related schedules in a timely.

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports, quarterly GST reporting, various reports and government surveys.

  • Billing processing, intercompany transactions.

  • Project cost tracking and performing account analysis.

  • Cash flow management.

  • Liaising with auditors, tax agent, company secretary, and bankers.

  • Ensure compliance with Company Policies, Processes, and Procedures, and Internal Audit.

  • Communicate with various departments, managers and outsiders.

  • Any ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Job Requirements:

  • Min Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting and above.

  • Good knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards, corporate tax, and GST rules.

  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a similar role/responsibilities.

  • A self-starter who can plan, organize and take initiative to meet job objectives and tight deadlines independently.

  • Self-motivated, resourceful, hands-on, multi-task, meticulous and analytical skills.

  • Can-do attitude, driven and passionate about work.

  • Open and positive mindset for job rotation.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience with MYOB, Globe 3 ERP accounting systems.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and PowerPoint.

  • Initial years of external audit experience preferred.

  • 3 – 5 years of full set accounting experience, preferred to know what project accounting is.

  • Prior year audit experience is welcome to apply.
