Job summary

A construction company based in Singapore is looking for an Accountant to manage full sets of accounts and prepare quarterly GST returns. The ideal candidate should have a diploma in accounting, at least 3 years of local experience in the construction industry, and proficiency in QuickBooks. Bilingual in English and Mandarin is preferred to communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients and suppliers.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of local experience in the Construction Industry preferred.
• Experience maintaining full sets of accounts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain & manage full sets of accounts.
• Prepare & submit quarterly GST returns.
• Reconciliation of accounts.
• Prepare and update collections timely.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax agents.

Requirements:

Job Duties:

• Maintain & manage full sets of accounts
• Prepare & submit quarterly GST returns
• Reconciliation of accounts
• Preparing monthly management reports
• Prepare and update collections from cash, cheques, telegraphic transfer, and GIRO on a timely manner
• Handle Petty Cash
• Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
• Issuing of sales invoices
• Filing of AIS
• Assist in yearly audit and tax computation
• Liaise and coordinate with external auditors and tax agents
• Ensure accounting deadlines are met
• Ad-hoc duties as assigned
