A leading company in the shipping sector is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join their team in Singapore. The successful candidate will manage invoices, payments, and customer statements while supporting the accounting department. This role is suitable for fresh diploma holders and individuals with prior accounting experience, offering an opportunity to grow within the field.
• Prepare and record invoices and credit notes
• Record daily incoming payments
• Track outstanding invoices and follow up on late payments
• Distribute customer Statements of Account (SOA)
• Handle miscellaneous duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
• Basic hands-on experience in accounting or bookkeeping
• Diploma or equivalent educational background
• At least 1 year of relevant accounting experience; prior experience in the shipping sector is an added benefit
• Fresh diploma holders in accounting or related fields are encouraged to apply
• Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications
• Familiarity with Microsoft Business Central is a plus
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to collaborate in a team setting
