Job summary

A leading company in the fireproofing industry is seeking an Accounts Assistant to manage daily operational and accounting duties. The role, based in Paya Lebar Quarter, includes invoicing clients, processing payments, and bank reconciliations. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and Mandarin, with a diploma in accounting and at least two years of relevant experience.

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Accounting Software.
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily operational and accounting duties including AR and AP.

Job description

  • Position: Accounts Assistant (SIMPLE DUTIES)
  • Location: Paya Lebar Quarter (1 min walk from Paya Lebar MRT)
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday (9am - 5pm)
  • Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to $3,000 + Performance Bonus
  • Duration: Permanent
  • Industry: Fireproofing

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily operational and accounting duties including AR and AP
  • Issue invoices to clients based on payment response and follow up on payments
  • Process monthly payments (including the issuance of cheques, telegraphic transfer, and funds transfer between banks)
  • Daily bank reconciliation against payments & receipts
  • Perform month-end Bank reconciliations for all banks
  • Check and post all invoices to ensure accuracy and timeliness for month-end closing
  • Proper scanning and filing of documents
  • Other responsibilities and tasks assigned from time to time

Requirements:

  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin to converse with Mandarin speaking associates
  • Higher Nitec / LCCI / Diploma in Accounting
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Accounting Software
  • Meticulous and attentive to details
