Job summary

A financial services company in Singapore is seeking an Accounting Assistant. Responsibilities include monitoring communications, preparing financial statements, and processing invoices. Candidates should have a degree in Accounting and relevant experience in bookkeeping. This role offers a 5-day working week from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Qualifications

  • Work experience as an Accounting Assistant or Accounting Clerk.
  • Knowledge of finance regulations is required.
  • Relevant experience in accounting is mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily communications and answer queries.
  • Prepare statutory accounts and ensure correctness of records.
  • Process invoices and prepare bank reconciliations.

Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring daily communications and answering any queries.
  • Preparing statutory accounts.
  • Ensuring payments, amounts and records are correct.
  • Working with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers and journals.
  • Recording and filing cash transactions.
  • Process invoices, DO, issue cheque, payment voucher
  • Prepare bank reconciliations
  • Liaise with suppliers / subcontractors regarding invoices and payment matters
  • Prepare Project Profit and Loss
  • Prepare journal entries for accruals, prepayments & other adjustment
  • Ensure the preparation of financial and management results are done in a timely and accurate manner
  • Prepare monthly schedules and assist on month end closing of accounts & quarterly GST filling
  • Any ad-hoc activities as assigned

Requirements

  • Work experience as an Accounting Assistant or Accounting Clerk.
  • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures.
  • Familiarity with finance regulations.
  • Diploma / Degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • Relevant experience in accounting
  • Good organisation and administrative skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Knowledge of MYOB will be a bonus
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently
  • 5 days working week (9.00~17.30)
