Job description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to be part of our Finance & Accounts team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP), handling reimbursement processes, supporting audit and compliance activities, and ensuring smooth day-to-day accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Handle the full spectrum of Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions.
  2. Manage petty cash claims and employee reimbursements.
  3. Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
  4. Ensure all payment requisition forms and supporting documents are in order for submission.
  5. Calculate monthly sales commissions based on provided data and policies.
  6. Oversee credit control and collection, including follow-up on outstanding payments.
  7. Archive and maintain financial documents for proper record-keeping and storage management.
  8. Assist with annual audits, internal control reviews, and stock take exercises.
  9. Perform other ad-hoc assignments as required by the Finance team.

Requirements:

  1. Diploma / Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma in Finance, Accountancy, Banking, or equivalent.
  2. At least 3 years of relevant working experience in accounting.
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Accpac Accounting Software, and Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2017.
  4. Meticulous, able to handle multiple tasks, and work well under pressure.
  5. Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and attention to detail.
