Job summary

An established industry player is seeking a detail-oriented accountant to manage full company accounts and prepare essential financial reports. This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure accurate monthly closing procedures, processing invoices, and handling payroll submissions. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, proficiency in Microsoft Office and MYOB, and the ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the financial health of a dynamic organization while supporting various administrative functions.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of accounting experience with monthly financial statements.
  • LCCI qualification or equivalent required.

Job description

Job Description:

  1. Maintain a full set of company accounts.

  2. Prepare monthly management reports and audit schedules.

  3. Work closely with various departments to facilitate and complete monthly closing procedures.

  4. Perform monthly bank reconciliations.

  5. Process supplier invoices and prepare payments.

  6. Handle and verify petty cash claims and payments.

  7. Prepare GST returns for quarterly GST filing.

  8. Submit for Withholding Tax (monthly).

  9. Liaise with auditor, tax agents, corporate secretary and bankers.

  10. Monitor cash flow and propose placement of excess fund or withdrawal from Lion Global.

  11. Work with operations on billings. Provide advice where necessary.

  12. Ensure internal controls are in place.

  13. Provide HQ with information needed.

  14. Provide forecast and estimate as required by holding company.

  15. Prepare payroll and submit CPF submission.

  16. Provide basic HR support.

  17. Provide basic IT support.

  18. Handle general administrative tasks.

  19. Perform all other ad hoc assignments assigned by a superior.

Job Requirements:

  1. LCCI qualification or equivalent.

  2. At least 3 years of accounting experience and preparation of monthly financial statements.

  3. Proficient in Microsoft Office & MYOB.

  4. Basic IT knowledge.

  5. Able to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion.

  6. Able to start immediately.
