Job description

The Accounting Supervisor (AR & AP) is responsible for supervising, coordinating and performing assigned accounting activities within the Finance Department. Assist in the evaluation and compliance of set accounting controls. Ensure transactions recorded are in accordance with internal policies, required accounting standards and statutory regulations with the objective of providing timely as well as accurate financial or management reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for AR and AP functions within Finance Department.

  • Plan, instruct and organize the activities of relevant Finance members.

  • Performing of AR and AP processes in an F&B ERP environment.

  • Ensure compliance with set internal and documentary controls as well as procedures.

  • Maintain security of cash collected from daily sales and ensure its timely bank-in.

  • Assist in GST compliance of related areas.

  • Report and analyze different accounting procedures as well as cost controls related to assigned tasks.

  • Interpret various finance-related data or reports and recommend or initiate necessary action plans.

  • Verify accuracy of accounting data and processing of accounting related information.

  • Ensure preparation of timely related management reports and schedules.

  • Address enquiries on areas relating to Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables.

  • Proper maintenance of department documentation and filing.

  • Liaise with auditors on related queries.

  • Other adhoc duties/ projects assigned by superior.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma/ Degree in Finance/ Accountancy/ ACCA or equivalent.

  • Min 5 years’ relevant working experience, preferably in F&B industry.

  • Has in-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures.

  • Strong team player with solid analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Capable of multi-tasking, able to meet deadlines and handle heavy work load/ pressure.

  • Able to also work independently and is meticulous.

  • Well versed in Microsoft Office.
