Job description

A licensed fund management firm regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore is seeking to expand its back-office and finance team in Singapore. This role focuses on ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, maintaining and enhancing the finance and compliance framework, and streamlining operational processes for the hedge fund management division.

The Accounting Specialist will collaborate with external vendors, including accounting, audit, and tax professionals, while reporting directly to senior management. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and forward-thinking, and who thrives in a small-team environment where they can contribute meaningfully.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and reconcile the management company’s ledger, perform monthly invoice checks, and ensure alignment with bank statements.
  • Coordinate with external consultants and assist in government survey preparations under the guidance of a supervisor.
  • Work closely with finance teams and external vendors to prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for the Singapore office.
  • Support daily operational processes related to fund management, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
  • Track and manage a control list of compliance and finance deadlines, ensuring timely and accurate submissions of required filings.
  • Assist in ad hoc tasks and projects as needed.
Required Background:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (Accounting background preferred).
  • 1-3 years of experience (experience in large multinational corporations is a plus).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office tools.
  • High level of professional ethics and integrity.
