A leading company in the automotive sector seeks an Accountant in Singapore, responsible for delivering accurate financial reports and audits while managing fixed assets and supporting group reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a solid grasp of IFRS standards, relevant experience, and a bachelor's degree in accounting or related fields.
Your Mission
This position is responsible for delivering accurate and timely accounting information to both internal and external stakeholders in compliance with local and international accounting standards (IFRS). Key duties include cost and monthly closing, group reporting, audit support, fixed asset and investment budget management, and handling bills and consolidated settlements to ensure informed decision-making and transparent corporate operations.
What To Expect
[Monthly Closing & Group Reporting]
Execute monthly closings per SFRS and Hyundai’s COA-based policies.
Prepare and submit timely, accurate financial statements to HQ.
Review trial balances, resolve discrepancies, and gather data from stakeholders.
[Audit & Compliance Support]
Support statutory audits and ensure compliance with local regulations.
Provide audit documentation and respond to auditor inquiries.
Monitor internal controls and assist with remediation efforts.
[G/L Management]
Maintain general ledger and perform regular closing activities.
Post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and investigate variances.
Ensure COA alignment and compliance with IFRS/SFRS.
Support fixed asset, accrual, and provision entries.
[Fixed Asset & Investment Budget Management]
Manage asset records and lifecycle activities.
Conduct asset due diligence and monitor investment budgets.
Assist with investment proposals and approval processes.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Taxation, or Accounting
Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting (full set, asset management, etc.)
Experience in the automotive or other manufacturing industries preferred
Knowledge of IFRS, Singapore accounting standards, and local tax laws
Certification in finance or accounting (e.g., CPA, CA, ACCA) preferred
Proficient in asset management and settlement processes in SAP, preferably with SAP HANA experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office
