An established industry player is seeking a skilled finance professional to lead their asset accounting team. This role involves ensuring compliance with financial regulations, driving digital transformation, and enhancing asset governance. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, analyze asset data using advanced tools, and support system improvements. Salary Range: $5,000 to $9,000 (commensurate based on experience)
Work Location: Within walking distance of Little India MRT
Work Hours: 8.30am to 6pm (Monday to Thursday), 8.30am to 5.30pm (Friday)
Background:
Our client plays a pivotal role in the planning and management of key infrastructure assets that support Singapore’s long-term development. As part of their finance team, you will support the full lifecycle of asset accounting and contribute to system improvements, digital transformation, and strategic policy development in asset governance.
Responsibilities:
Lead a team in delivering asset accounting and advisory functions in compliance with financial regulations and internal guidelines.
Evaluate developments in financial reporting standards (e.g. SB-FRS16, SB-FRS38, SB-FRS116) and recommend appropriate accounting treatments.
Plan and execute annual fixed asset exercises and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Work with internal and external auditors on financial reporting matters.
Conduct cost reviews and manage capitalisation of development projects, driving improvements through process reviews.
Collaborate with various internal groups and external stakeholders to support asset stewardship across their lifecycle.
Analyse and synthesise asset data using tools such as PowerBI to support data-driven decisions.
Drive digitalisation and automation efforts, including the use of RPA and other process enhancement initiatives.
Support system transformation by defining business requirements and ensuring alignment with future operational needs.
Requirements:
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
At least 3-7 years of relevant experience, including 1-3 years in a supervisory role.
Solid understanding of accounting standards and asset governance.
Familiarity with SAP, PowerBI, and RPA tools will be advantageous.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Meticulous with numbers and proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
