An established industry player is seeking a seasoned financial professional to manage and analyze financial data within a dynamic construction environment. This role involves preparing financial reports, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, and maintaining strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting. · Prepare financial data for entry into the accounting system.
· Responsible for closing reports (monthly, quarterly, and yearly).
· Analyze financial data for management review and internal control purposes.
· Liaise with solicitors and the company secretary.
· Handle and ensure timely closing of a full set of accounts, reconciliation, and accounting schedules.
· Liaise with bankers for loan drawdown and rollover matters.
· Ensure day-to-day transactional accounting, cash flow management, and financial reporting are executed accurately and promptly.
· Support operational daily activities.
· Compile data, perform bookkeeping, and manage construction purchase orders and work orders.
· Maintain and update central filing systems, archive documents, and handle document storage for operational, finance, and HR departments.
· Assist in month-end closing activities such as sales orders, bank reconciliations, GST quarterly reporting, and expense analysis.
· Perform ad-hoc administrative duties and operational support as assigned by the manager.
· Collect and verify invoices and supporting documents.
· Manage project-related documentation and perform administrative tasks (e.g., filing, creating, duplicating). Collate and maintain databases.
· Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
· Communicate effectively with clients and contribute to strong client relationships through positive interactions.
· Communicate work status and client issues to the manager and/or director.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
· Prepare consolidation packages with workings quarterly.
· Assist in internal and external audits, prepare financial statement notes, workings, and manage pre-audit activities.
· Proficiency in ZOHO, QuickBooks, and Tally accounting software is required.
· Minimum of 10 years of experience in a construction company.
· Working days: 6 days a week.
