A leading distribution company in Singapore is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee daily activities of the accounting department. The role involves managing a team, ensuring compliance with financial standards, and preparing reports. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and at least 4 years of experience in accounting, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role.
As an Accounting Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day activities of the accounting department, ensuring productivity, efficiency, and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Management: Supervise and manage the accounting team, including task delegation, guidance, and performance reviews.
2. Accounting Operations: Oversee daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger management, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
3. Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and tax regulations.
4. Policy Development: Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal controls.
5. Budgeting and Forecasting: Manage budgets, monitor cash flow, and analyze financial data to inform business decisions.
6. Audits and Reviews: Conduct financial audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Provide financial information and analysis to support business decisions, working closely with other departments.
8. Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date on accounting standards and regulations, implementing necessary changes to ensure compliance.

Education and Experience
