A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking a competent Accounting Manager to handle financial reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, and audit management. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of experience in accounting, including leadership skills to guide teams and meet financial deadlines effectively. This role demands analytical acumen and proficiency in accounting software to navigate local tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting:
Preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of month-end and year-end reports
Ensure accounting standards, policies and procedures comply with accounting, tax and legislative requirement
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Daily cashflow monitoring and projection
Support in the monitoring of budget performance and preparation of variance analysis reports
Tax Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all local tax regulations
Handle tax matters, including the quarterly GST filing accurately and timely.
Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance.
Audit Management:
Manage the annual external audit process, including preparation of audit schedules and liaison with auditors.
Provide the external auditors with accounting and financial reports
Team Leadership and Development:
Coordinate efforts across departments to amass accounting information
Provide supervision and leadership to direct reports
Lead by example, demonstrating integrity, professionalism and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of accounting operations.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
Proficiency in accounting software system and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organisation.
Attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering quality work.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
