Responsibilities

• Manage month-end closing, journal entries, reconciliations, and reports.
• Cash flow and working capital management across entities.
• Lead tax-related matters for corporate filings and audits.
• Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders.
• Lead process improvements for accounting accuracy and efficiency.

Job description

We are looking for an Accounting Manager to join our growing team. The Accounting Manager is expected to lead a team of 5. The ideal candidate should be a strong people manager who can guide and collaborate effectively with team members. The Accounting Manager should also take a keen interest in process improvement and take the lead on such projects.

Job Responsibilities

1. Report the company's financials to the General Manager and Business Owner.
2. Oversee financial operations across 6 entities.
3. Possess a strong eye for detail to ensure accounts are correctly maintained in the books (including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, GL, bank reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and balance sheet items).
4. Review GST reporting and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
5. Oversee and participate in month-end closing activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and the preparation of financial reports. Manage all activities necessary to close books on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
6. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management: Managing daily cash flow projections, monitoring working capital, and overseeing bank balances across the 6 entities.
7. Take charge of tax-related matters, including the preparation of schedules and documentation required for corporate tax filings and audits.
8. Liaise with internal departments, external vendors, auditors, corporate secretaries, and tax agents.
9. Take the lead in process improvement initiatives to enhance accounting accuracy and operational efficiency.
10. Manage Accounts Receivable to ensure timely and accurate collection of revenue, including Small Claims Tribunal management.
11. Oversee the scheduled vendor payment runs.
12. Perform other tasks as deemed necessary by Management.

Requirements

• Diploma in Accounting or above.
• Prior experience managing and leading an accounting team is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with financial data.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems (QuickBooks).
• Tech-savvy and willing to integrate AI and automation tools for workflow improvements.
• Willing to work in Tuas (Nearest MRT: Gul Circle MRT).
