Job Description

  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of budgets, forecasts, management and statutory reports, including audits, tax filings, and compliance with statutory regulations and corporate policies.
  • Support the department heads with timely financial reports, insights, and analysis on profitability, efficiency, and operational performance to support business objectives.
  • Review, recommend, implement, and improve internal controls, financial policies, processes, and workflows to reduce risks and improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Responsible for end-of-month close, grant reporting, budget preparation, and audit preparation.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly GST filing to IRAS.
  • Process payroll, including CPF submission, IR21 clearance, and year-end IR8A submission to IRAS.
  • Submit and record government claims, including for maternity, childcare leave, SDF training, etc.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts.
  • Reconcile all balance sheet and income statement accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis as instructed by the company.
  • Monitor and analyse accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
  • Liaise and coordinate with external auditors and tax agents to complete annual audits.
  • Ensure operational compliance with Singapore’s laws and standards, and company policies and procedures.
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods and principles.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in an events company and/or small medium enterprises is preferred
  • Degree/post graduate degree in Accounting/Finance from recognised institutions or equivalent.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential is an advantage.
  • At least 5 years’ work experience in accounting/finance administration and operations, preferable in a supervisory role.
  • Good business acumen with ability to work under pressure.
  • Demonstrate good judgment and good problem-solving skills.
  • Strong prioritisation skills and taking initiative to deliver results.
  • Possess professional integrity and business ethics.
  • Prior experience in an events company and/or small medium enterprises is preferred
