Accounting Business Partner - Global Payments

Responsibilities

Team Introduction: In line with the globalization strategy and vision of the company, the Global Payment Finance team builds a world-class platform to provide cross-border payment solutions for all ByteDance's products and services, which are growing rapidly worldwide.

Responsibilities:

1. Familiar with seller finance, BNPL, and other credit businesses, with a deep understanding of accounting processes related to credit businesses.
2. Perform monthly closing procedures.
3. Support the Manager in monitoring the monthly financial reporting to various stakeholders in SEA, such as tax and transfer pricing teams.
4. Design and review the group legal structure and manage consolidated financial statements, coordinating with compliance and taxation, and providing financial insights.
5. Ensure compliance with financial internal control processes; experience in system construction and optimization is preferred.
6. Support the Manager in process optimization and conduct quality reviews to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
7. Manage relationships with auditors, prepare working papers, and participate in audits timely.
8. Understand regulatory reporting requirements for licensed entities in the payment industry and ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or above in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, or related fields.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in payments, fintech, banking, or consumer finance.
• Experience with month-end closing and analytical reviews.
• Basic knowledge of tax requirements across SEA countries.
• Experience in financial and compliance reporting within the payments/fintech sector.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in accounting standards; certifications such as CICPA, ACCA, AICPA, HKCPA are preferred.
• Experience with system integration is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and team spirit.
