Job summary

A civil engineering firm based in Singapore is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee full financial management, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and at least 5 years of relevant experience, particularly in project cash flow and GST regulations. This role offers the opportunity to lead a finance team and engage in strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities

1. Manage full sets of accounts and ensure compliance with financial standards

2. Develop financial forecasts, project cash flow analysis and budgeting strategies

3. Oversee financial reporting, cost control and risk management

4. Ensure compliance with GST regulations and oversee tax submissions

5. Manage ERP system processes and ensure smooth finance operations

6.Provide financial insights to senior management for strategic decision-making

7. Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring efficient workflow

8. Prepare and present quarterly finance reports on project status to stakeholders

9. Coordinate with external auditors for statutory and interim audits

10. Provide insights on project WIP, collections, risks, opportunities and cashflow

11. Present updated financial data in project management meetings, reviewing cost status

12. Review and process project payments and invoices accurately

13. Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor in Accounting / Finance or equivalent accounting professional qualifications

2. At least 5 years of experience in finance with strong expertise in project cashflow, forecasting, budgeting and reporting

3. Strong knowledge of taxation, GST regulations and accounting standards (SFRS)

4. Hands-on experience in ERP system and financial planning tools

5. Knowledge in Work-In-Progress (WIP) financial aspect for construction projects

6. Familiar with accounting in construction industry an advantage
