Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking an Accountant specialized in GL, process improvement and automation to join our team in Singapore. The role involves close collaboration with regional accounting and finance teams to ensure timely month-end, quarter-end and year-end closes, with emphasis on process optimization and automation.

The position is a 1-year contract with renewal subject to performance, working Monday to Friday during office hours.

Qualifications

• Must have experience with monthly, quarterly and year-end closing processes.
• GST and withholding tax returns experience preferred.
• Ability to analyse financial performance and prepare variance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the regional accounting team to ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end closing
• Review Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations and ensure outstanding items are properly resolved
• Analyse financial performance and prepare variance analysis
• Provide accounting and financial support to business units and other departments
• Prepare GST, withholding tax returns and related tax documentation
• Review and implement Finance process improvements, automation and control enhancements
• Lead or support ad-hoc Finance projects and transformation initiatives
• Liaise with banks on treasury and banking matters
• Coordinate quarterly and year-end stocktakes
• Coordinate year-end fixed asset sighting
• Liaise with internal and external auditors and follow up on audit recommendations
• Assist with year-end tax filing
• Support management with business analysis, projects and other Finance initiatives
