Qualifications

Job description

Our Client from real estate & Hospitality industry are seeking for Accountant (Focus on GL).

Responsibilities:

The Accountant will be responsible for general ledger (GL) activities with additional exposure to accounts payable. This role ensures the timely and accurate closing of monthly and annual accounts in compliance with Group policies, SFRS, and regulatory requirements, covering a portfolio of intermediate holding and active operating companies.

  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing of accounts in accordance with Group policies and SFRS.
  • Prepare financial and statutory reports, including timely submission of monthly reports to the Group consolidation system.
  • Review and verify AR and AP entries to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and post journal entries into the accounting system.
  • Prepare monthly audit schedules and perform regular clearing of balance sheet items.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Assist with the preparation and filing of XBRL.
  • Support the year-end audit process, including preparation of annual reports, responding to audit queries, and other related matters.
  • Assist with system implementation and testing to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Degree or Diploma in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline
  • At least 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience, with strong exposure to general ledger and accounts payable
  • A strong team player with a collaborative mindset, willing to support and assist in various finance-related matters
  • Sound knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and statutory reporting requirements
  • Experience in preparing financial and audit reports, including XBRL filing
  • Proficient in accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail, with good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to meet deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior experience with system implementation or testing is an advantage
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
