Job summary

TOMRA Singapore is seeking an Accountant to support daily finance operations in a dynamic startup-like environment. You will work with internal stakeholders and regional teams to ensure accurate accounting, timely reporting, and compliant processes.

The role covers AP/AR, GL, month-end close, statutory filings, payroll support, and process improvements. Immediate availability is preferred, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting or finance operations experience.
• Solid understanding of AP, AR, general ledger, and month-end closing.
• Familiarity with Singapore GST and statutory reporting requirements.
• Experience working with ERP systems; IFS experience is an advantage.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day AP and AR activities, including invoice processing, payment preparation, collections, and follow-up.
• Prepare and process supplier payments, employee claims, and banking transactions.
• Perform bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and GL maintenance.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and retained documentation.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, schedules, and analyses for management and regional finance teams.
• Support statutory reporting, GST submissions, tax filings, and compliance.
• Assist with external audits and liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and service providers.
• Ensure compliance with TOMRA finance policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
• Support payroll processing and related finance administration activities.
• Coordinate invoicing, customer billing, vendor management, and finance-related queries.
• Assist in cash flow monitoring and working capital management.
• Support insurance administration, contract administration, and other finance-related operational matters.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes, controls, and workflows.
• Support ERP system maintenance, data accuracy, and process optimization initiatives.
• Participate in finance projects, system enhancements, and other improvement activities.
