Job summary

A recruitment agency in Singapore is looking for an Accountant responsible for financial record keeping, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and have at least 3 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks and advanced MS Office skills are required.

Responsibilities

Location: Central

Salary: $3,000 - $5,000

Duties:

  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate financial records and log all transactions (Accounts payable/receivables and General Ledger).
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Reconciliations: Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts; resolve discrepancies.
  • Fixed Assets: Maintain asset register, record acquisitions/disposals/depreciation, and verify assets periodically.
  • Tax & Compliance: Prepare and submit statutory filings (GST, tax returns), liaise with auditors and authorities for compliance.
  • Payroll: Manage payroll processing and employee cost recording.
  • Funding: Coordinate bank loans and apply for grants/funding with government and agencies.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Min Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years proven work experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, MYOB) & Advanced MS Office skills.
