Job summary

Pareto Securities A/S is seeking an Accountant to join our APAC/Global Business Services finance team. You will contribute to reliable financial reporting, close processes, and regulatory compliance across APAC with a multinational setup.

The role requires a 3–5 year accounting background, a professional qualification is a plus, and experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics and advanced Excel. This is a full-time position based in Singapore with regional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience in a multinational/shared services context.
• Strong foundation in accounting principles, financial reporting, GL, reconciliations, and closing.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics, and advanced Excel.
• Analytical, structured, proactive, with good communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of general ledger accounting with journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings with balance sheet reconciliations and reports.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and regulatory tax requirements (GST).
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners during audits and support AP/AR activities as needed.
• Participate in process improvements and finance transformation initiatives.

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our growing Finance team and play an important role in strengthening our accounting processes across APAC / Global Business Services.

In this role, you will help ensure reliable financial reporting, smooth closing processes, and strong compliance, while working closely with colleagues and stakeholders across the region. Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of general ledger accounting and help ensure accurate financial records through well-structured journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Play a key role in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities by supporting balance sheet reconciliations, processing payments and reciepts,investigating variances, and preparing clear financial reports and analyses for management review.
• Strengthen compliance across the finance function by ensuring alignment with accounting policies, internal controls, statutory requirements, and relevant tax regulations, including company tax matters and GST reporting.
• Collaborate with colleagues and external partners during internal and external audits, while also supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable processes when needed.
• Contribute to a stronger and more efficient finance setup by supporting process improvements, finance transformation initiatives, cross-functional collaboration, special assignments, and ad hoc projects.

Qualifications & Experience

• You hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; a professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent will be considered an advantage.
• You bring 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience and are motivated by applying your expertise in a multinational company, shared service environment, or regional finance setup.
• You have a strong foundation in accounting principles, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and closing processes, and you take pride in delivering accurate and reliable results.
• You are confident working with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics or a similar platform, and you bring advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• You are analytical, structured, and proactive, with strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
