DKSH SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking an Accountant on a 6-month contract to support the Finance team with accurate general ledger accounting, balance sheet review, GST and corporate tax compliance, and month-end close.

The role requires independence, proactivity, and hands-on experience in GL and reconciliations. You will collaborate with internal teams and BPO partners to resolve discrepancies, assist in year-end activities, and contribute to ad-hoc finance projects.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of accounting experience with hands-on GL experience.
• Experience in balance sheet review and reconciliations.
• GST and corporate tax knowledge.
• Proficiency in Excel and SAP preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Review and clean-up balance sheet accounts for assigned entities with focus on aged items.
• Investigate reconciling items and resolve discrepancies with stakeholders.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations with appropriate documentation.
• Support GL accounting and month-end closing including journal entries.
• Review entries by BPO partners and follow up on outstanding matters.
• Support intercompany reconciliation and tax compliance.
• Assist with GST returns and corporate tax schedules.
• Contribute to ad-hoc Finance projects and administrative duties.

About the Role

The Accountant (6-month contract) supports DKSH's Finance team in delivering accurate and compliant general ledger accounting, with an initial focus on balance sheet review and clean-up for assigned entities. This role contributes to financial integrity and reporting quality by supporting month-end and year-end closing, Goods and Services Tax (GST) and corporate tax compliance, external audit requirements, and ad-hoc Finance projects.

The Accountant must be independent and proactive, have hands on General Ledger Accounting and Balance Sheet Reconciliation experience, practical GST and Corporate Tax knowledge.

What You Will Deliver

• Perform review and clean-up of balance sheet accounts for assigned entities, with a focus on aged and long-outstanding items to restore accuracy and completeness
• Investigate reconciling items and accounting discrepancies, following through with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely and effective resolution
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accounts are adequately supported and substantiated with appropriate documentation
• Support general ledger (GL) accounting and month-end closing activities, including preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, provisions, and other accounting adjustments
• Review accounting entries and closing activities performed by Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) partners and follow up on outstanding matters to maintain closing timelines
• Support intercompany reconciliation and clearing of outstanding balances to ensure accurate entity-level reporting
• Support year-end closing and external audit requirements, including preparation of schedules and supporting documentation
• Support preparation and review of Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns and reconciliations, and assist with corporate income tax compliance and tax schedules
• Liaise with internal teams, BPO partners, and external stakeholders to resolve accounting and tax matters effectively
• Contribute to ad-hoc Finance projects and assignments including fixed asset verification, data clean-up, and process improvement initiatives
• Administrative duties and coordination tasks as required

What You Bring

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience with hands-on general ledger (GL) experience
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles and financial reporting standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting
• Experience with SAP is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across internal teams, BPO partners, and external stakeholders
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies and drive issues to resolution
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines
• Hands-on and proactive, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability and a resourceful approach to problem resolution
• Adaptable and comfortable navigating both routine accounting responsibilities and ad-hoc project work
