Job summary

Circles is seeking a detailed-oriented Accountant to join our growing finance team. You will be responsible for timely month-end and year-end closings using Oracle Fusion, handling the full set of accounts for assigned entities, and driving process improvements across the closing cycle.

You will refine existing procedures, ensure IFRS/SFRS compliance, and collaborate with auditors, tax agents, and other business units to deliver accurate financial information and robust controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline/ACCA/equivalent with at least 2 years of full set accounts experience.
• Understanding IFRS/SFRS and international accounting standards.
• Detail-oriented with strong time management and deadline-driven mindset.
• Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical reasoning and ability to articulate financial insights clearly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Oracle Fusion and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries including assets, payroll, prepayments and provisions.
• Arrange intercompany recharges, confirmations and settlements.
• Maintain fixed assets register and reconcile accounts.
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Prepare balance sheet schedules and reconciliations with analyses.
• Prepare GST/VAT/WHT reporting and reconciliation.
• Prepare annual statutory financial statements for assigned entities.
• Coordinate with tax agents for tax computation and filing.
• Assist with audit schedules and liaise with auditors.
• Ensure policy compliance and develop/ document new controls.
• Collaborate with other units to resolve discrepancies and assist Group Finance.

Role Summary

We are looking for a detailed-oriented and problem-solving Accountant ready to assume a high-impact role in our growing team. The Accountant will be responsible for timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing using Oracle Fusion. In this role, the Accountant will handle the full set of accounts for assigned countries, refine the existing closing process, identify and improve on inefficiencies in our day to day activities and contribute to internal projects.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare journal entries (including but not limited to, fixed assets, payroll, prepayment, provisions, accruals etc) Arrange monthly intercompany recharges, confirmations, and settlements Maintain fixed assets register Complete monthly bank reconciliation and investigate any unusual reconciling item Prepare monthly balance sheet schedules, reconciliations and analysis and investigate any unusual item Prepare monthly/quarterly GST/VAT/WHT reporting and reconciliation report Prepare annual statutory financial statements for assigned entities Prepare corporate tax information organiser for tax agent to complete tax computation and filing Prepare audit schedules and liaise with auditors on requests and queries for the annual audit Ensure compliance to company policies and develop/document new procedures and controls Collaborate closely with other business units to gather financial data and resolve discrepancies. Assist Group Finance on any ad-hoc assignments

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline/ACCA/ACCA equivalent, with at least 2 years of handling full set of account experience Minimum 2 years experience in handling full set accounts Understanding of accounting concepts and knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS/SFRS) Demonstrated attention to detail, time management skills, adapt to change, committed to accuracy and deadline driven Strong analytical and reasoning skills with the ability to articulate financial insights clearly. Able to work independently and with minimal supervision Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Effective verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in accounting systems (Oracle Fusion is a plus) and Microsoft Excel.
