About the role
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join the finance team at Double Chin Food Services Pte Ltd, a leading food services provider in Singapore. As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial records and reporting for the business. This is a full-time position based in our head office.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and submitting accurate financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements on a monthly basis. You are expected to brief the management team on any changes month over month (positive or negative) and the reasons why these occurred by doing prior due diligence before the meeting.

• Reconciling bank accounts and other financial records to ensure the integrity of the accounting system, this is done daily to ensure up to date accuracy.

• Ensuring our ERP is accurate and troubleshooting any issues related to pricing that could affect the P&L.

• Managing and forecasting trade loan facilities, working closely with purchasing to ensure prudence in purchasing based on business needs and forecast.

• Assisting with the preparation of budgets and forecasts where applicable, including running models for ROI on any new projects or high-cost items.

• Maintaining and updating the company's accounting records and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations.

• Providing support to the sales team when clarifying customer payments and following up with customers for payment as per due dates.

• Helping the team identify customers at risk for default of payment and recommending changes in credit terms for the customers.

• Acting as the gatekeeper of credit term approvals to new customers.

• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and contributing to the overall efficiency of the finance function.

• Identifying areas where we may reduce costs without affecting business needs and customer satisfaction.

• Using AI to enhance the capability of the overall company from a financial point of view.

What we're looking for

• A degree in Accounting or a related field.

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar accounting role, preferably in the food services industry.

• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and reporting standards as per Singapore law.

• Proficiency in using accounting software and spreadsheet applications.

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various stakeholders.

• A team player with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
