A leading M&E engineering company in Singapore is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage comprehensive financial records, ensure compliance with regulations, and support financial audits. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Accounting, with 3-5 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably within the engineering sector. Responsibilities include daily accounting operations, reconciliations, and financial reporting while collaborating with various teams. RYB Engineering is one of the leading M&E engineering companies where specializes in Data Centre, design and installation of a wide range of electrical services, with headquarter of Chudenko Corporation in Japan.
Key Responsibilities:
Involve in the day-to-day accounting operations, including precise and timely data entry for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and expense tracking across multi-currency accounts.
Administer staff claims and expense reimbursements promptly and accurately.
Reconcile accounts, including bank reconciliations and intercompany balances.
Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Ledger, including Right of Use Assets according to Financial Reporting Standard.
Ensure adherence to tax compliance requirements, including timely GST/VAT filings and liaise with tax authorities for Corporate Income Tax.
Prepare comprehensive documentation and schedules to support internal and external audits.
Monitor and enforce internal controls and financial policies to mitigate risks.
Prepare journal entries, accounting schedules, financial statements, and management reports with high accuracy.
Review and analyse financial and project performances, including variance analysis.
Monitor daily cash balances, bank positions and short-term liquidity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and enhance efficiency.
Support ad-hoc projects and other finance-related tasks as required.
Qualifications:
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3–5 years of experience in diverse accounting roles; experience in engineering industry is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong knowledge of Financial Reporting Standard, tax compliance & local regulations
Familiar with AutoCount accounting system will be added advantage.
Understanding Malaysian accounting standards (MFRS), accounting practices tax regulations, and banking systems will be added advantage.
