The OpportunityAs an
Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the newly launched Sydney presence. Reporting to the Finance Manager in the US, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain the integrity of financial data, and contribute to efficient day-to-day finance operations during a pivotal growth phase.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately process and record accounts payable and receivable transactions
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate vendor and customer records
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes including financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and local financial regulations
- Prepare documentation and reports for audit readiness
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., NetSuite) for accurate tracking and reporting
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 2+ years of general accounting experience
- At least 1 year in accounts receivable preferred
- Knowledge of Australian Tax
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite tools
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) highly desirable
