About the role
CEDES PTE LTD is seeking a talented Accountant to join our team in our Boon Keng office in the Central Region. As Accountant in the field, you oversee all financial resources, HR and administrative aspects of the whole organization. As its "administrative backbone" you play a vital role in running the office in an efficient manner.
Report directly to Managing Director in Cedes Asia Pacific Region (CAP) with matrix reporting to Group CFO.
You are accountable for the integrity of the Financial and Analytical Accounting and reporting in the field, which includes the supervision of the account department, the preparation of the annual budget/monthly forecast and risk reporting.
This entails a permanent assessment of the financial situation of the CAP organization. You are expected to act as advisor on all financial/economic affairs for the CAP teams, including efficiency of spend, cost-control, analysis of budget deviations, investment proposals, project controlling, and contingency measures needed to respond to critical changes in the operating context.
You implement accounting guidelines, processes and policies from the Group and wherever necessary tailor them to the local context, as well as ensure/control strict implementation/adherence of the same, with the purpose to assure compliance with ethical standards, and mitigation of financial risk.
You act as co-signatory of finance interface for both authorities and commercial parties & suppliers, bank etc.
As the internal focal point for finance-related compliance matters, you are expected to steer the implementation/alignment of all activities related to Authority Compliance Program in the Country.
As F & A Executive, you act as HR-Responsible for staff members under local contact, carrying out specific activities along the HR-Cycle.
What we're looking for
Good command of English.
Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience in finance, including at least one year in Financial Controlling & Accounting.
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
You have strong analytical & quantitative skills.
Proficient in the use of accounting software (Dynamic 365 ERP) and MS Office suite.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
