A leading company in the accounting sector seeks an Account Executive Supervisor to manage a team and oversee financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in Accountancy, a minimum of four years' experience, and a strong grasp of GST regulations. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements and supervising daily operations. This role offers the opportunity to enhance operational efficiency and contribute to departmental budgeting processes.
Responsibilities
Supervise a team of 4 Account Executives. Provide necessary guidance, coaching and support to ensure smooth daily operations.
Prepare and close monthly management accounts and the supporting schedules for 2 entities (1 active and 1 semi-active) within stipulated timeline.
Prepare monthly Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet analysis for review.
Be well versed in the accounting system, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and provide necessary support to regional offices when required.
Prepare and post recurring and exceptional general journal entries e.g. depreciations, prepayments, currency revaluations, provisions, tax, accrued interest income/expenses and other necessary entries.
Perform monthly inventory cost runs, postings, closings, and generate inventory reports.
Review and post monthly payment and receipt journals.
Review Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable entries, including the GST classifications prior to posting.
Demonstrate strong understanding of GST knowledge and requirements. Prepare quarterly GST schedules and submit online GST returns for superior’s review.
Monitor daily bank balances to ensure that there are sufficient operating funds. Manage excess funds by placing them in fixed deposits. Update cashflow projection schedule and provide weekly bank balances information to superiors.
Liaise with various departmental heads for preparation of quarterly budgets.
Coordinate with external tax agents and external auditors and address requests when necessary.
Delegate tasks to team members for preparation of supporting documents.
Identify operational gaps and weaknesses within the team and implement appropriate solutions and process improvements to enhance overall efficiency and productivity.
Perform any other ad-hoc duties/projects as assigned by superiors.
Requirements
Diploma / Degree in Accountancy or equivalent
Minimum 4 years' experience in accounting
Experience in Navision accounting system is a must.
Possess strong knowledge of GST
Good in Microsoft Office
High integrity, meticulous and initiative-taking
Independent, self-driven with the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines.
A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
