About Us:

We are a growing renovation and construction firm in Singapore, specializing in high-end carpentry and steel works for Good Class Bungalows (GCBs) and luxury residences. Known for our craftsmanship and attention to detail, we collaborate with leading architects and consultants to deliver bespoke, high-quality homes. We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant to manage our full set of accounts and support the finance function across projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Full Set of Accounts
    • Handle the full spectrum of accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end closing activities—ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability in all financial records.
  2. Payroll & CPF Administrations
    • Process monthly payroll, CPF contributions, and staff claims in compliance with MOM regulations and company policies.
  3. Tax & Statutory Compliance
    • Manage tax and regulatory compliance matters, including GST submissions, IRAS filings, and coordination with auditors and corporate secretary, while ensuring all statutory requirements are met in a timely and accurate manner.
  4. Financial Reporting & Forecasting
    • Prepare timely financial reports—monthly, quarterly, and annual—including cash flow forecasts and profit/loss summaries to support business planning and performance tracking.
  5. Project-Based Cost Tracking
    • Maintain accurate allocation of income and expenses for each project, ensuring clear visibility of financial performance at the project level.
  6. Progressive Billing & Retention Management
    • Oversee billing schedules based on project milestones and track retention sums to ensure timely and accurate invoicing and cash flow planning.

  • Support management by providing financial insights, analysis, and data-driven projections to aid in strategic decision-making.
  • Ability to implement or improve internal accounting workflows and controls
  • Good communication skills for coordinating across internal teams, suppliers, and external consultants

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience; preferably within the construction/renovation or other project-based industries.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, coupled with solid understanding of GST rules, project accounting, and progressive billing
  • Capable of independently managing and organizing accounts across multiple ongoing projects.
  • Comfortable working in an SME environment and adaptable to handling a variety of responsibilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, for data analysis.
