Job description

We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Accountant to support statutory reporting and compliance activities across multiple legal entities. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy in financial reporting aligned with both US GAAP and local GAAP, while also supporting audits and process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly statutory journal entries and perform reconciliations from US GAAP to local GAAP.
  • Address statutory reporting inquiries with appropriate technical references.
  • Assist in the preparation of STAR pack checklists and reconciliation templates.
  • Contribute to the compilation of transfer pricing documentation.
  • Support government statistical reporting and OneSource-related tasks (template reviews, legal/GAAP updates).
  • Assist with audit adjustments and pre-audit documentation in coordination with external auditors.
  • Investigate audit findings, determine root causes, and support remediation planning.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial close packages including variance analysis, risk logs, and balance sheet aging.
  • Manage accounting for intangible and pension assets in line with local and US GAAP requirements.
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders during monthly close cycles and support internal controls.
  • Provide timely responses to internal and external audit queries.
  • Prepare the Director’s Pack for statutory sign-off.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvements and automation initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounting, audit, or financial reporting.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and local GAAP principles.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and skilled in problem-solving.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and geographies.
  • Proactive and independent team player with the ability to adapt to dynamic environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
