Coinhako in Singapore is seeking a dedicated Accountant to maintain accurate financial records, manage crypto transactions, and support financial reporting. This role requires attention to detail and compliance with regulations in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional certifications (CPA/ACCA) are a plus
• Minimum 2–4 years of accounting/finance experience, preferably in crypto/fintech
• Experience with cryptocurrency transactions and blockchain technology is highly desirable
• Proficiency with cloud accounting software (Xero) and MS Office/Google Suite

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-orientedAccountant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. Your role will involve handling daily accounting tasks, managing cryptocurrency transactions, and assisting in financial reporting.

What you'll be doing:

Maintain and update the general ledger and financial records.

Maintaining full sets of books including preparing payments, bank and account reconciliations, fixed assets, raising journals and preparing financial reports in the cloud accounting system

Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.

Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, cryptocurrency wallets, and other financial accounts.

Transaction Management:

Process and verify cryptocurrency transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Monitor and manage the reconciliation of cryptocurrency accounts and wallets.

Implement internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure transaction integrity.

Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.

Prepare and maintain supporting documentation for financial reports.

Compliance and Auditing:

Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and industry standards.

Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and cryptocurrency regulations.

Operational Efficiency:

Implement and maintain accounting systems and software to improve efficiency.

Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.

Streamlining financial process workflows. Identify opportunities for process including use of automation and tools

Provide financial analysis and support to the finance team and other departments.

Assist in the preparation of financial presentations and reports for management and stakeholders.

Respond to financial inquiries from management, auditors, and regulatory bodies.

What we’re looking for:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are a plus.

Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within the cryptocurrency or fintech sector.

Experience with cryptocurrency transactions and blockchain technology is highly desirable.

Proficiency in cloud accounting software, Xero will be a definite plus

Proficiency with MS Office / Google Suite, esp Excel and Word.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
