Job summary

Lalamove EasyVan (SG) Pte Ltd is seeking an Accountant to support daily accounting and finance operations for the Singapore entity. You will maintain the local books, process payments, perform reconciliations, and assist with month-end close and statutory reporting.

You will collaborate with the HQ and local Finance team to ensure GST compliance, accurate records, and timely reporting. We value detail-oriented, independent workers who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced start-up

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Accounting/Finance.
• 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Familiarity with Singapore GST and local statutory requirements.
• Experience handling a full set of accounts is an advantage.
• Proficient in Excel; Oracle experience preferred.
• Start-up/e-commerce/platform experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Accountant will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting and finance operations of the Singapore business, including maintaining the local accounts, processing payments, performing reconciliations, supporting month-end closing, and ensuring timely statutory and management reporting. The role will work closely with the local Finance team and HQ to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with Singapore accounting and GST requirements.

What You’ll Do

• Manage day-to-day accounting and finance operations

• Maintain a complete and accurate set of accounting records for the Singapore entity

• Perform bank, balance sheet and other relevant reconciliations

• Manage the weekly payment cycle, including staff claims, driver cash-outs and supplier invoices

• Support month-end and year-end closing, including journal entries and preparation of schedules

• Liaise with HQ on accounting matters and resolve finance-related queries

• Ensure the timely and accurate submission of daily, weekly and monthly reports to management and HQ

• Prepare and support the submission of Singapore GST returns

• Support statutory audits and prepare the necessary audit schedules and documentation

• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, statutory requirements and internal finance policies

• Perform other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• Diploma, Degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline,

• At least 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience

• Familiarity with Singapore GST requirements, accounting standards and local statutory requirements

• Experience supporting or handling a full set of accounts will be an advantage

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience using Oracle is preferred

• Experience in a start‑up, e‑commerce or platform‑based business will be an advantage
