Job description

Key Responsibilities - Accountant:

1. Accounting System Setup & ERP Implementation

  • Evaluate and select an appropriate ERP/accounting system aligned with SFRS, IRAS tax regulations, and ACRA compliance.
  • Configure and customize financial modules (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, GST, Payroll, Inventory, etc.).
  • Ensure seamless migration of financial data and establish audit trails.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for financial transactions and reporting.
  • Train finance teams on system functionalities and best practices.

2. Compliance & Financial Reporting (Singapore-Specific)

  • Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
  • Implement GST (Goods & Services Tax) filing procedures and integrate with IRAS tax e-filing systems.
  • Prepare and file XBRL financial statements for submission to ACRA.
  • Ensure proper corporate tax reporting and compliance with Singapore tax laws.
  • Support audit requirements and ensure ERP-generated reports align with statutory requirements.

3. ERP System Integration & Process Automation

  • Integrate the accounting system with payroll, procurement, and other business operations.
  • Ensure compatibility with Singapore banks for digital payments and reconciliations.
  • Automate financial workflows, including invoicing, tax calculations, and month-end closing.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and recommend process improvements.

4. Financial Controls & Internal Policies

  • Establish strong internal controls to prevent fraud and errors.
  • Implement approval workflows for transactions in line with corporate policies.
  • Monitor financial data accuracy and compliance with MAS and other regulatory authorities.

Requirements

  1. Minimum 5-6 Years Relevant Experience, Preferably in Manufacturing Industry
  2. Experience in using Accounting Software (e.g. SAP, Oracle or Similar ERP System)
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
